For a while now, we have seen a strange dial and hand combination appearing in black Tudor Submariners. Often from retired Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) personnel, these watches have a combination of round hour markers and snowflake hands. Whilst looking through some old print ads, the non-date Sub on the right of the below advert jumped out at me. These watches are the ancestral elders of the Black Bay watches. It has always been speculated that the hands were switched by Canadian Navy watchmakers. This rare advert shows, however, that it was actually an option offered by Tudor.
