79090 Submariner

The 79090 was the last of the plexi-glass Submariner Dates...

1989 marked the end of an era for Tudor. The non-date Submariner was discontinued in the catalogues and there remained only a Submariner Date, reference 79090. Visually identical to the previous 76100 watch (or more precisely 76100 with mercedes-pattern hands), the 7090 was fitted with a modified ETA movement calibre 2824-2. The case 40mm case was kept, with rounded crown guards, and the watch was available in either blue or black configurations.
